39 Lending and pension transactions with securities

LLB has own securities which have been lent or pledged by LLB. These are recognized in LLB’s balance sheet and recorded in the table below. In addition, third-party securities that were either borrowed by LLB or received as collateral are disclosed in the table. These are not recognized in LLB's balance sheet.

The fair value and the actual liability of own securities that were lent, provided or transferred as well as those that were capable of being resold or further pledged were adjusted from CHF 1.0 million to CHF 21.0 million for 2011. The fair value and the actual liability of received or borrowed securities as well as those that were resold or further pledged were adjusted from CHF 1'386 million to CHF 1'767 million and from CHF 1'386 million to CHF 65 million for 2011, respectively.
